Joan Hickey
“Hickey remains one of the most appealing and distinctive pianists in the city...(she) produces gorgeously singing lines and unexpected harmonies. The gentility of her touch is matched by the intellectual accomplishment of her improvisation.”

“... NSJO sets new standards of excellence in contemporary big band music.”
Steve Nelson
“One of the most extraordinary musicians in jazz...”
Jun Iida
“Iida displays a modern approach that embraces Marquis Hill, as much as Lee Morgan.”

Kristen Strom
“With a tone that's lithe and lustrous, Kristen Strom embodies her musical philosophy in every note she plays.”
George Cotsirilos
“George Cotsirilos' meticulous and tasteful guitar work is marked by remarkably subtle shifts in accents, and minute changes in expression and dynamics.
